摘要 <p>A spar cap, a rotor blade, a wind turbine and a method of manufacturing the spar cap is provided. The spar cap is configured to be arranged along a span of the rotor blade and substantially extends between the wing root and the wing tip, when the spar cap is mounted in the rotor blade. An area of a cross-section of the spar cap in a plane of the airfoil, decreases with increasing distance from the wing root. A first bundle of fiber rovings and a second bundle of fiber rovings is embedded in a matrix so as to provide a fiber-reinforced member. The first bundle of fiber rovings starts at a position of the spar cap which is close to the wing root and extends spanwise towards the wing tip up to a first maximum distance from the wing root. The second bundle of fiber rovings starts at the same position and extends spanwise towards the wing tip up to a second maximum distance from the wing root. The second length of the second bundle of fiber rovings is greater than the first length of the first bundle of fiber rovings.</p>
