A method for assessing the hemostasis in the patients with obstructive jaundice provides for the examination of the blood coagulation system. The rheological properties of blood are examined with low-frequency piezoelectric thromboelastography. The detected changes in hemostasis are categorized taking into account the extent of the liver dysfunction. At compensated stage of the liver dysfunction, the prolongation of phase I of the coagulation system is detected with low parameters of the amplitude of contact phase of coagulation (A0) and intensity of the contact phase, the prolongation of the contact phase (T1), and elongation of phase II of coagulation with increased time of blood coagulation, decreased density of the clot with low parameters of the thrombin activity constant, intensity of the coagulation drive, intensity of clot polymerization, and inhibition of fibrinolysis manifested as the decreased retraction intensity and clot lysis. |
