<p>Provided are a specific gravity measurement method and a specific gravity measurement device, whereby it is possible to measure the specific gravity of a subject to be measured in an arbitrary location, and it is possible to directly measure the specific gravity, not only of a fluid, but even of a gas or a powdered body having fluidity. A support shaft (12) is established for a coupling body of a first weight (16) and a second weight (19) with differing volumes. The specific gravity of the subject to be measured is derived on the basis of either the force acting on, or the displacement of, the support shaft (11), or the displacement in the rotation direction of the coupling body centering about the support shaft, owing to the volume difference between the first weight (16) and the second weight (19) when the coupling body is immersed in the subject to be measured.</p> |
