The device has a thermal printer (1) for printing a flexible film, and a wedging unit for wedging an edge of the film with an edge of a rigid support plate. A gluing unit glues the flexible film on the support plate. An introducing unit introduces the flexible film into a posterior zone of the thermal printer. The thermal printer receives an internal guide for inducing a semi-turn of the film after introduction for printing the film using a thermal printing head of the printer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for thermally printing a flexible film integrated to a rigid support plate for number plate (2) a square or rectangle shaped flexible film integrated to a transparent rigid plate after thermal printing for forming a number plate. |
