PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusing body capable of being made thinner while securing sufficient optical transparency, light diffusion and light resistance.SOLUTION: The light diffusing body is formed from a light diffusing resin composition where resin particles and inorganic compounds are distributed in base resin. The resin particles are polymer particles which contain polymers of (meth)acrylic monofunctional monomers and monomer mixtures including polyfunctional monomers and which have a volume average particle diameter of 2 to 10 μm and a refraction index of 1.540 to 1.560. The inorganic compound is barium sulfate having a volume average particle diameter of 0.4 to 0.7 μm. The light diffusing resin compound contains the resin particles of 1.5 to 2.5 pts.wt. with respect to the light diffusing resin compound of 100 pts.wt. The contented weight ratio of the resin particles and the inorganic compounds in the light diffusing resin compound is in the range from 1:0.5 to 1:1.35. |
