摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively determine water content in a molten salt bath with a simple method.SOLUTION: In a method for quantitatively determining an aluminum oxide ion originating from water content included in a molten salt, being a mixed salt of an organic salt and aluminum chloride, silicon or diamond is used as a window member, the molten salt is introduced into a cell formed of the two window members placed opposite to each other and tilted from the parallel direction by 0.3 to 0.7°, and an absorption spectrum based on an Al-O bond in the vicinity of 790 cmis measured with an infrared spectrophotometer. In a method for quantitatively determining water content in a molten salt, the aluminum oxide ion is quantitatively determined by the method for quantitatively determining an aluminum oxide ion, and simultaneously an aluminum hydroxide ion originating from water content included in the molten salt is quantitatively determined by measuring an absorption spectrum of the molten salt based on an Al-OH bond in the vicinity of 3,360 cm, and the water content included in the molten salt is quantitatively determined based on the results of quantitative determination of the aluminum oxide ion and the aluminum hydroxide ion.
