PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and/or an apparatus permitting use of nonlinear amplification by a radio communication device in at least some situations without having a serious negative impact on the use of a multi-tone signal by the device.SOLUTION: The radio communication device performs transmission using a single tone at a first time and a plurality of tones at a second time. The radio communication device uses linear power amplification to transmit a multi-tone signal and uses nonlinear power amplification to transmit at least some single tone signals. In some embodiments, a linear amplification range of a characteristic curve of a first amplifier is used for the linear amplification, and a nonlinear amplification range of the characteristic curve of the first amplifier is used for the nonlinear amplification. |
