The closure (14) has a container main portion that is provided with a circumferential edge. A bead is closed with a cover (16) whose edge portion is provided with several tabs (18) that are pivotally connected to the lip portion. The tabs are brought into a closed position in which the cover is pressed by the tabs against the bead. The tabs are secured in the closed position by a circumferential band (20) whose two ends are held together by a closure. An independent claim is included for container.
