PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which suppresses a decline of throughput of image recording and which can remove a recording medium jammed in a conveyance path easily.SOLUTION: On condition that an ink amount discharged to a recording medium from a recording part exceeds a threshold value (S40:Yes) and the recording medium is held at a conveyance part (S30:Yes), an ink jet recording device switches a switch mechanism from a first state in which a driving force of a second motor is transmitted to a feeding part to a second state in which the driving force of the second motor is transmitted to a contact/separate mechanism by moving the recording part to a switching position by driving a first motor, and then executes a separation preparation operation in which the second motor is made to execute normal rotation driving and reverse rotation driving alternately at least once (S50). |
