PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample holder capable of accurately placing samples having various outer shapes at a predetermined position in an X-ray analyzer only with a simple operation.SOLUTION: A sample holder 1 supports a sample S and is attached to and detached from an X-ray analyzer. The sample holder 1 includes a pair of sample holding members 8a and 8b for holding the sample S from both sides and supporting it. The sample holding members 8a and 8b are tabular members each having a planer shape wider than the sample S, a thickness thinner than the sample S and flexibility. At least one of the pair of the sample holding members 8a and 8b is provided with holes 9a and 9b for passing X-rays therethrough.
