PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent burning of an expander at the start-up time of a power generating apparatus.SOLUTION: A power generating apparatus comprises: a circulation flow passage (10) in which an evaporator (11) for evaporating a working medium, an expander (12) for expanding the working medium, an oil separator (13) for separating lubricating oil discharged from the expander (12) with the working medium, a condenser (14) for condensing the working medium and a working medium pump (15) for sending the working medium condensed at the condenser (14) to the evaporator (11) are connected in series; a power generator (20) driven by the expansion of the working medium in the expander (12); a lubricating oil pump (31) for sending the lubricating oil in the oil separator (13) to the expander (12); a temperature sensor (32) for detecting the temperature of the lubricating oil in the oil separator (13); and control means (50) for performing start-up control for driving the lubricating oil pump (31) and then for driving the working medium pump (15) when temperature (T) detected by the temperature sensor (32) becomes a predetermined value. |
