PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of picture quality due to black floating.SOLUTION: A projector device 10 having a stereoscopic image display function for alternately projecting and displaying an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye includes: an input part 11 for inputting an image signal; a micro-mirror element 14 for displaying an image corresponding to the image signal input by the input part 11; a projection processing part 13 for superimposing a synchronous signal for a stereoscopic image on the image displayed by the micro-mirror element 14; and a CPU 28 for allowing the micro-mirror element 14 to display the image on which the synchronous signal has been superimposed by the projection processing part 13, and for suppressing the superimposition of the synchronous signal by the projection processing part 13 under the projecting operation.
