PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that prevents unintended printing from being carried out, when paper size set according to printing data differs from paper size of paper to be used for printing.SOLUTION: In a printer of this invention, when size of paper specified on the basis of printing data for carrying out printing based on the printing data is different from size of paper detected by detection means and loaded in a tray, determination means determines whether or not a type stored in a storage part in association with the specified paper size is the same as a type stored in the storage part in association with the detected paper size. When it is determined that the types are different from each other by the determination means, since execution of the printing based on the printing data is restricted, occurrence of inconvenience onto a printed matter that is caused by printing on a type of paper that differs from a type of paper specified on the basis of the printing data can be prevented. |
