PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly hold a rod-shaped part by a latch.SOLUTION: A latch device for a vehicle, which locks or unlocks by being engaged with or disengaged from a rod-shaped part, includes a housing, and a latch 30 which is rotatably supported by the housing and has a hook-shaped part 33 being engaged with the rod-shaped part to form a lock state. The hook-shaped part 33 has a first support surface 38A which faces the rod-shaped part in the lock state, a projecting part 37 which is located closer to the tip side of the hook-shaped part 33 than the first support surface 38A and projects from the first support surface 38A, and a second support surface 38B which is a surface facing the rod-shaped part in the projecting part 37. The first support surface 38A and the second support surface 38B face in different directions, whereby they are arranged so as to be abuttable against the rod-shaped part at the same time. |
