摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve blurred images using an apodization filter in imaging and suppress reduction in photographing light quantity and to improve symmetry of transmittance of light flux of phase difference AF when detecting a focal point.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device having a plurality of photoelectric conversion units for receiving light flux passing through a plurality of divided areas of an exit pupil of an imaging optical system respectively as one unit, and having an optical element provided correspondingly to each photoelectric conversion unit; an apodization filter provided to part of the plurality of divided areas of the exit pupil; and a focal position detection system which detects a focal position by comparing outputs from the plurality of photoelectric conversion units for receiving light flux passing through a plurality of areas where the apodization filter is not provided or a plurality of areas where the apodization filters are provided, respectively, among the plurality of divided areas of the exit pupil.
