PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the autofocus accuracy of a subject by making not only a face area but also a head hair area to be an autofocus area.SOLUTION: An autofocus system includes an imaging part capturing a subject image formed by an optical system, a face area detection part detecting the face area except the head hair area of a person from a photographed image captured by the imaging part, a first AF area setting part setting the face area detected by the face area detection part as a first autofocus area, a second AF area setting part for enlarging the first autofocus area set by the first AF area setting part, so that the head hair area adjacent to the face area is included and setting an enlargement area including the first autofocus area and the head hair area as a second autofocus area, and an autofocus part for making the focus adjustment of the optical system, to focus on the subject of the second autofocus area set by the second AF frame setting part. |
