Device for producing fibre preforms, which constitute in particular a preliminary stage during the production of fibre-reinforced plastic components. The device has a plurality of unwinding stations (1, 2, 3, 4) for providing a plurality of yarns or rovings or tapes and a plurality of grippers (5, 6, 7, 7', 8, 8', 24, 24', 25, 25'), each of which is able to grip, one or more yarns or rovings or tapes at the start thereof (20, 20'). Each gripper (5, 6, 7, 7', 8, 8') can be moved back and forth on a path between a maximum position (12) and a pick-up position (11, 11',11"). The pick-up position is provided at a yarn transfer point and is closer to the unwinding station than the maximum position. Each of the grippers (5, 6, 7, 7', 8, 8', 24, 24', 25, 25') can be moved individually on paths which are substantially parallel to one another, so that the yarns or rovings or tapes can be clamped in parallel and adjacent grippers (5, 6, 7, 7', 8, 8', 24, 24', 25, 25'), more particularly all adjacent grippers, are arranged offset in terms of height. |
