A process for the preparation of trimethoxysilyl-containing aminopolycarboxylic acid of general formula:,wherein n=0; R'=OH; R"=NH(CH)Si(OCH)(5)n=0; R'=R"=NH(CH)Si(OCH)(6)n=1; R'=OH; R"=NH(CH)Si(OCH)(7)n=l; R'=R"=NH(CH)Si(OCH)(8),involves interaction of dianhydrides of ethylene diamine tetraacetic and ethylene diamine pentaacetic acids with 3-(aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane. The interaction is carried out at a temperature of in high-boiling basic solvent (DMFA) with ratio of acid dianhydride:3-(aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane=1:1.
