<p>[Problem] To provide a vehicle air bag device which, although being compact, is able to ensure a sufficient stroke when being developed and inflated, and enables improvement in productivity. [Solution] A vehicle air bag device provided with a side air bag (102) formed by superposing foundation cloths on each other in two layers and stitching peripheral edge portions (103a) together, wherein a pleat section (106) folded in a pleat shape in which a mountain fold (104) and a valley fold (105) are adjacent to each other is formed in a right panel portion (108) that is at least one of the superposed foundation cloths, and the side air bag is formed by stitching the peripheral edge portions of the foundation cloths together along a stitching line (S) while the pleat section is folded.</p> |
