PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss of raw fabric by preventing occurrence of defects in the raw fabric due to hot air.SOLUTION: A printing and drying system includes: a feeding part 81 for supplying raw fabric F; a printing part 90 for printing ink I on the raw fabric F; a drying apparatus 50 having a hot air generating part 1 and a hot air nozzle 43; a winding part 82 for collecting the raw fabric F; a stop signal notifying part 71 for notifying the printing and drying system of a stop signal for stopping supply of the raw fabric F from the feeding part 81; and a control part 70. The hot air generating part 1 has a heat pump 10 for generating hot water to apply heat to air, and a heat reservoir 20 for generating vapour to apply heat to the air heated by the hot water. The control part 70 stops the heat application using the hot water upon receiving the stop signal from the stop signal notifying part 71, and later stops the heat application using the vapour when a prescribed time has passed from stopping the heat application using the hot water.
