PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system for a motor vehicle purifying exhaust gas exhausted from an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle by selective catalytic reduction, in which an undesired reaction with a catalytically active precious metal of a diesel oxidation catalyst is eliminated or at least reduced.SOLUTION: An exhaust system 1 for a motor vehicle comprises: an exhaust gas-purifying device 2 for purifying exhaust gas 3; a reducing agent feed device 4 located at a spaced location downstream from the exhaust gas-purifying device 2, which can introduce a reducing agent into the exhaust system 1; and a reducing agent-deflecting device 7 arranged between the exhaust gas-purifying device 2 and the reducing agent feed device 4, which has at least one reducing agent-deflecting element 8 with a blade design. In the exhaust system 1, an inappropriate contact between a precursor of the reducing agent (for example, a urea aqueous solution) or the reducing agent itself (for example, ammonia), and the exhaust gas-purifying device (for example, a diesel oxidation catalytic converter) is avoided. |
