摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot capable of being operated in a plurality of modes for efficient cleaning.SOLUTION: A mobile cleaning robot comprises: movement means for moving on a floor surface; an obstacle detection sensor; and a control system operatively-connected to the obstacle detection sensor and the movement means. The control system is configured to operate the robot in a plurality of operation modes, and the operation modes include an obstacle following mode in which the robot follows an obstacle to move, and a bounce mode in which the robot moves in a direction away from the obstacle when detecting the obstacle. The control system is configured to switch the operation modes after predetermined number of collision sensors detect the obstacle.
