PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an appropriate regenerative braking force come into action according to a driver's instruction.SOLUTION: A motor drive controller includes: an input section that receives a signal indicating an on state of a brake or a signal indicating an off state from each of two brake sensors; a control coefficient calculation section that increases a control coefficient value for a regenerative target amount with a first tilt upon reception of a first signal indicating that either one of the brakes is under an on state from the input section, and increases the control coefficient value with a second tilt larger than the first tilt upon reception of a second signal indicating that both of the brakes are under an on state from the input section; and a control section that controls driving of a motor from the control coefficient value calculated by the control coefficient calculation section and the regenerative target amount.
