PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing capacity of a server by significantly decreasing the number of data acquisition requests to be processed simultaneously.SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver includes information receiving means, and download execution means. The information receiving means receives a plurality of types of application information superposed on broadcast signals and including information for downloading an application corresponding to a program being broadcasted according to the broadcast signals and a program not being broadcasted at current time, respectively, and the start time and finish time of each application. Before a program not broadcasted at current time is broadcasted, the download execution means performs download of an application corresponding to a program before broadcast from a server, according to the start time included in the application information related to the application corresponding to a program before broadcast. |
