<p>According to an exemplary embodiment, a method of selecting interference measurement resource elements (IMREs) implemented in a communications node of a communications network, wherein an interference measurement resource (IMR) includes up to four IMREs, the method including: selecting within a physical resource block (PRB) a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) group from a plurality of channel state information resource elements (CSI-REs) within the PRB, the CSI-RS group including at least four resource elements; assigning within the CSI-RS group one or more resource elements as IMREs; selecting at least one RE from outside the CSI-RS group as an Interference Measurement resource elements (IMRE), wherein information relating to the IMRE configuration within the CSI-RS group is signalled to user equipments (UEs) with a coverage area of the communications node.</p> |
