A method for starting up electric or electronic devices, in particular devices in or for an aircraft or spacecraft, including: supplying at least one location identification which contains at least one piece of information about the location of a respective device; detecting a supplied location identification for one device in each case; transmitting the detected location identification to the respective device; and parameterising the respective device by means of the transmitted location identification.
