PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder liquid which can constitute a paste capable of coating without corrosion of metal collector while containing an active material containing a nickel atom, and furthermore to provide an aqueous binder liquid which is superior in adhesiveness with the active material and the metal collector, and can manufacture a positive electrode with less deterioration even if charge/discharge is repeated.SOLUTION: An aqueous binder liquid for a secondary battery positive electrode is a binder liquid for forming the secondary battery positive electrode having an active material containing a nickel atom and includes an acid-modified polyolefin resin (A) containing 0.1 to 10 mass% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid component, and an aqueous medium.
