PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor capable of suppressing power consumption and noise when a pressure in a storage tank rises.SOLUTION: An air compressor includes a compressing portion for compressing air, a motor for driving the compressing portion, a tank for storing the air compressed by the compressing portion, and a control portion for controlling a rotational frequency of the motor. The control portion switches a first operation mode in which the compressing portion is driven in a first pressure range in the tank, and a second operation mode in which the compressing portion is driven within a pressure range wider than the first pressure range, and an electric current value supplied to the motor in the first operation mode is higher than that in the second operation mode. |
