<p>This needle light, which serves as a body cavity illuminating instrument, is provided an elongated insertion part that is inserted in a body cavity. A light guide, which is configured by bundling a plurality of optical fibers, is inserted through the insertion part. The needle light is provided with a temperature sensor comprising thermocouples for detecting the ambient temperature of the tip of the insertion part. At least one of the thermocouples comprises a metal wire embedded in the light guide, and a contact section of the thermocouple is exposed on the tip side of an emitting end face of the light guide. Thus, the temperature of illumination light emitted from the emitting end face of the light guide can be directly detected.</p> |
