The ring gear machine (1) comprises a rotating displacer unit (6) which is accommodated in the housing (8), in which the sound-damping elements (14,16,18,20) are arranged in the sound transfer path formed between the housing and the rotating displacer unit. The sound-damping elements are formed in annular shape and are arranged in the annular space formed between the housing and the displacer unit. The sound-damping elements are constructed in multiple layers of different materials. Several discharge areas (24,26,28) are arranged on a common pitch circle.
