<p>The porous body comprises granules, oxide and/or non-oxide hard body, and a ceramic connecting unit fired based on a calcined and/or sintered particulate material and the granules. The granules are formed with voids so that a fluid flows through the voids in the porous body, enters through one end of the porous body and exits through other end of the porous body. The voids have an equivalent diameter of 2-5 mm. The granules have an equivalent diameter of less than 10 mm. The voids are present in the porous body in a range of 97 vol.%.
