摘要 <p>Use of a cosmetic composition containing at least one alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside, for inactivating and/or eliminating mites on the skin, is claimed. An independent claim is also included for cosmetic, non-therapeutic method for optically improving and/or preserving the appearance of human skin, for inactivating and/or eliminating mites comprising applying the cosmetic composition to the skin and rinsing for 30 seconds-24 hours, optionally with water after a contact time. ACTIVITY : Acaricide. The ability of the composition (comprised of 5 wt.% Montanov 202 (RTM: Arachidyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, arachidyl glucoside), 10 wt.% caprylic or capric triglyceride, 3 wt.% Cetiol CC (RTM: Dicaprylyl carbonate), 2 wt.% 12-18C coco glyceride, 0.50 wt.% vitamin-E acetate, 0.05 wt.%, Controx KS C (RTM: Tocopherol, hydrogenated palm glycerides citrate), 1.50 wt.% Cetiol SB 45 (RTM: Shea butter), 0.90 wt.% Dow Corning 8040 (RTM: Isododecane and dimethicone crosspolymer ), 5 wt.% glycerin, 6 wt.% hexanediol-1,6, 0.40 wt.% Tego Carbomer 140 (RTM: Carbomer), 0.20 wt.% titanium dioxide, 2 wt.% Betafin BP 20 (RTM: Betaine), 0.50 wt.% Ridulisse C GR (RTM: Hydrolyzed soy protein), 2 wt.% dimethylsilanol hyaluronate, 0.50 wt.% Phenonip (RTM: Phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, ethylparaben), 4 wt.% Plantacare 2000 (RTM: Decyl glucoside), 4 wt.% Plantacare 1200 (RTM: Lauryl glucoside), 0.05 wt.% allantoin, 0.75 wt.% D-panthenol, 0.05 wt.% Dragosantol 100 (RTM: Bisabolol), 3 wt.% Matrixyl 3000 (RTM: Water, butylene glycol, carbomer, coco glucoside, palmitoyl oligopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7), 1 wt.% Simulgel EPG (RTM: Sodium acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, polyisobutene, caprylyl/capryl glucoside), 0.05 wt.% sodium hydroxide, suffient quantity of perfume and remaining water) to eliminate mites was tested on human skin using biological assay. The result showed that the composition exhibited mortality rate of 63.4%. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.</p>
