The present invention relates to a propulsion apparatus for a ship, including: a propeller combined to the stern of a ship to generate a propulsion force; a duct which is installed in front of the propeller, and which has a circular form; and an electric current pin protruded from the stern of the ship to the direction further from the rotation axis of the propeller shaft. The duct includes: a first duct and a second duct which has a relatively smaller diameter than the first duct has, and which is prepared on the inside of the first duct. The propulsion apparatus for a ship according to the present invention, is arranged with the first duct and the second duct, having different diameters, arranged on the stern of the ship, to save energy consumption by accelerating the fluid flowing into the propeller, or by changing the flow of the fluid, in order to maximize the propulsion force generated by the propeller. |
