The present invention relates to a propulsion apparatus for a ship, including: a propeller combined to the stern of s ship to generate a propulsion force; a duct which is installed in front of the propeller, and which has a form of a relatively smaller circular arc than a semicircle, with the left and right parts different in size; and at least one electric current pin protruded from the stern of the ship to the direction further from the rotation axis of the propeller shaft. The electric current pin includes a first support pin which is connected to one end of the duct and a second support pin which is connected to the other end of the duct. The propulsion apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a duct smaller in size than a semicircle, the starboard side duct smaller than the larboard side duct, and the supporting pin protruded to the outside, under the larboard side duct. By applying a force to the fluid to the opposite rotation direction of the propeller, the propulsion force can be maximized. |
