PURPOSE: A chroman-2-ol derivative with an optical activity and a method for preparing the same are provided to ensure high chemical yield of chroman, to selectively obtain an enantiomer, and to obtain various chroman derivatives through continuous modification. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a compound of chemical formula 4 comprises a step of reacting a compound of chemical formula 2 with a compound of chemical formula 3 under the presence of an organic catalyst of chemical formula 1. The reaction is performed by adding dichloroacetic acid to a chloroform solvent. The compound of chemical formula 4 is selected from a group consisting of 4-furan-2-yl-chroman-2-ol, 4-benzofuran-2-yl-chroman-2-ol, 4-thiophene-2-yl-chroman-2-ol, and 2-(2-hydroxy-chroman-4-yl)-pyrrole-1-carboxylic acid tetra-butyl ester. The compound of chemical formula 4 is an R-isomer. |
