The present invention relates to arabidopsis sulfiredoxin (AtSrx) (sequence number: 1), which is an oxidation-reduction dependent sulfinic acid reducing enzyme, and more specifically, to arabidopsis sulfiredoxin that acts as a nuclease having oxidation-reduction independent nucleic acid-binding and decomposition activity, and has cysteine, an animo acid residue in sequence number 1-94, as an activation portion of the sulfinic acid reducing enzyme activity. Also, the present invention provides a transgenic plant which has stress resistance to reactive oxygen species (ROS) by removing nucleic acid with genetic information damaged by the reactive oxygen species through the overexpression of the arabidopsis sulfiredoxin. |
