PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably generate supercontinuum light and to improve resolution and sensitivity of optical tomography measurement.SOLUTION: The supercontinuum light source includes: a fiber laser 10 including an excitation light source 14 and an optical fiber 11 which is configured like a loop for inputting continuous light from the excitation light source and to which a rare earth element is added, in which a film 12 configured by dispersing carbon nanostructure is inserted into an optical path of the optical fiber, continuous light is circulated in one direction, a soliton pulse is generated and outputted at a frequency of 100 MHz or more by a supersaturation characteristic of the carbon nanostructure; a fiber amplifier 20 for inputting the soliton pulse outputted from the fiber laser and amplifying the soliton pulse; a wavelength shift fiber 30 for shifting a center wavelength of the soliton pulse outputted from the fiber amplifier to the long wavelength side; and a high nonlinear optical fiber 50 for inputting the soliton pulse outputted from the wavelength shift fiber and converting the inputted soliton pulse into supercontinuum light by a nonlinear optical effect. |
