PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase heat exchange efficiency in a heat exchange element and a heat exchange type ventilator using the same.SOLUTION: In a heat exchange element 3: an exhaust air passage 14 and an air supply passage 15 are configured alternately one layer by one layer by laminating a plurality of exhaust air units 12 and air supply units 13 including interval ribs 12a, 12b, 13a and 13b for retaining intervals, a plurality of air passage ribs 12c and 13c provided substantially at equal intervals substantially in parallel with each other and a heat exchanger plate 16; and an exhaust air flow 4 circulating in the exhaust air passage 14 and an air supply flow 5 circulating in the air supply passage 15 cross orthogonally or obliquely at both end parts A and C of the exhaust air passage 14 and the air supply passage 15, and face each other at a central part B. By making the length of the central part B on the side where an air supply passage 15i nearest to an inner air opening 8a, which is an inlet of the exhaust air flow 4 in the air supply air passage 15, and an exhaust air passage 14i nearest to an outer air opening 10a, which is an inlet of the air supply flow 5 in the exhaust air passage 14 face each other shorter than that on the opposite side, heat exchange efficiency can be increased. |
