The electric circuit (10) has a solar cell (12) having front side (14) and a rear side (16). The electronic or micromechanical components (18,20) are arranged on the rear side of the solar cell and are electrically connected to photovoltaic active front side of solar cell by a contact structure (24). A transparent protective layer (30) is arranged on front side of solar cell. The contact structure is provided with a contact portion (36) formed on front side (32) of the protective layer facing away from the front side of solar cell. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing electric circuit.
