Conductive polymer suspension comprises a conductive polymer, at least one water-soluble polyhydric alcohol, and at least one organic water-soluble compound comprising at least two functional groups polycondensable with the polyhydric alcohol. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the conductive polymer suspension, comprising obtaining a mixture containing the conductive polymer, polymerizing conductive polymer-forming monomers under use of oxidant chemical oxidation in an aqueous solvent containing as organic acid or its salts as dopant, recovering the conductive polymers from the above mixture, subjecting the conductive polymers to a polyacid containing the aqueous solvent under the action of an oxidizing agent, and mixing the water-soluble polyhydric alcohol and the organic compound comprising at least two functional groups polycondensable with the polyhydric alcohol; (2) a conductive organic material obtained by removing the solvent from the conductive polymer suspension by drying; (3) an electrolytic capacitor comprising an electrolyte layer containing the conductive polymer suspension or the conductive organic material; and (4) producing the electrolytic capacitor, comprising forming a dielectric layer on a surface of a valve metal consisting of anode conductor, and forming an electrolyte layer on the dielectric layer by applying or by impregnating with the conductive polymer suspension.
