PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass molding apparatus and method having high productivity.SOLUTION: A lens molding device 1 comprises: first and second turntables 17, 18 on which mold units 12A, 12B are mounted respectively and which independently rotate around a rotary shaft 16; first and second molding parts 6, 8 which heat and press-mold a glass material inside the mold units 12A, 12B; an exchange and cooling part 4 which performs cooling treatment and exchange treatment of molds 11A, 11B; first and second molding part moving mechanisms which move the mold units 12A, 12B between the first and second molding parts 6, 8 and the first and second turntables 17, 18; and an exchange and cooling part moving mechanism which moves the mold units 12A, 12B between the exchange and cooling part 4 and the turntables 17, 18. The first and second molding part moving mechanisms are provided at positions away from each other in the circumferential direction around the rotary shaft 16. |
