PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-reliable display device in which amounts of moisture and oxygen entering from an encapsulation region, that causes deterioration in characteristics of the display device, is reduced and to provide a method of manufacturing the display device.SOLUTION: There is provided the display device having a display part formed by arranging light-emitting elements employing an organic light-emitting material between a pair of substrates. The display part is formed on an insulating layer formed on one substrate, and the pair of substrates are formed outside the display part and surround the outer periphery, and are fixed by a sealing material formed on the insulating layer. At least one layer of the insulating layer is formed of an organic resin material, and an outer end part of the insulating layer located outside the sealing material is coated by an encapsulation film. |
