PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a solar battery which achieves high quality and high efficiency in roll to roll solar battery manufacturing, and to provide the solar battery having a structure which may contribute to quality and producibility improvements.SOLUTION: A solar battery element has at least a pair of electrodes and an active layer on a film substrate. The film substrate is processed so that protruding parts are formed substantially only on the lamination surface side. The solar battery element improves the producibility.
