The invention relates to dialkylsulfone of the general formula (I), where a) X stands for a1) O-R1, O-C(O)-R1, O-C(O)-OR1, NH-C(O)-R1 or NH-C(O)-OR1 and R1 stands for a C1-C6-alkyl group, a C2-C6-alkenyl group, a C1-C6-hydroxyalkyl group or a C1-C6-alkoxy-(C1-C6-)alkyl group; or a2) NR2R3 or O-C(O)-NR2R3 and R2 and R3, independently of each other, stand for hydrogen, a C1-C6-alkyl group, a C2-C6-alkenyl group or a C1-C6-hydroxyalkyl group, provided that only one of the groups R2 and R3 stands for hydrogen; or a3) OSO3H or OS(O)2R4 and R4 stand for an alkyl group, preferably a C1-C6-alkyl group or a substituted aryl group as applicable; or a4) OP(O)(OH)2, OP(O)(OH)(OR5), OP(O)(OR5)2 or OP(O)(OH)R5 and R5 stand for an alkyl group, preferably a C1-C6-alkyl group; and b) n stands for a number from 1 to 5, or salts thereof suitable for shaping keratinous fibers, in particular human hairs. A particularly good and long-lasting hold can be obtained by a heat-assisted shaping method. |
