Cathode material is suggested for water-activable standby battery based on alkali metal vanadium oxide bronze, at that alkali metal vanadium oxide bronze is represented by bronze with composition of NaVO·1.2HO and additional copper chloride (II) CuCl·2HO and/or copper sulphate CuSO·6HO with the following ratio of components in wt %: alkali metal vanadium oxide bronze - 83.3÷52.6, copper (II) sulphate and/or chloride - 47.4÷16.7, at that mixing of components is made by fine wet milling in presence of water and/or alcohol, e.g., ethanol.EFFECT: development of cathode material composition characterised by high and stable discharge voltage, low rate of discharge and high temperature of self-heating.2 dwg, 5 ex
