Provided is a nonaqueous lithium electrical storage element provided with both high output and high capacity per volume. This nonaqueous lithium electrical storage element has: an electrode body in which are layered a positive electrode having a positive-electrode collector body and a positive-electrode active substance layer containing a positive-electrode active substance, a separator, and a negative electrode having a negative-electrode collector body and a negative-electrode active-substance layer containing a negative-electrode active substance; a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing lithium ions; and an external casing; wherein the positive-electrode active substance has a BET ratio surface area of 2600-4500 m2/g, and contains an active substance having an average grain size of 1-30 µm in which a mesopore amount (V1) (cc/g) derived from fine pores having a diameter of 20-500 Å calculated using the BJH method is 0.8 < V1 ≤ 2.5, and a micropore amount (V2) (cc/g) derived from fine pores having a diameter less than 20 Å calculated using the MP method is 0.92 < V2 ≤ 3.0, the positive-electrode active substance layer having a bulk density of 0.40-0.70 g/cm3. |
