A heat exchanger is provided with: U-shaped pipes arranged parallel to each other and allowing an operating fluid to flow therethrough; fins supported by the U-shaped pipes and provided with through-holes through which the U-shaped pipes are inserted; and a support body for supporting the U-shaped pipes. Heat is exchanged between the operating fluid and a heat exchange fluid present around the fins. The U-shaped pipes include: first U-shaped pipes having pipe sections located on the side into which the heat exchange fluid is introduced, the pipe sections allowing a return operating fluid to flow therethrough; and second U-shaped pipes having pipe sections located on the side from which the heat exchange fluid flows out, the pipe sections allowing a return operating fluid to flow therethrough. Each of the fins is divided between the first U-shaped pipes and the second U-shaped pipes.
