<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a dust core which combines the excellent magnetic properties inherent in Fe-Si-B amorphous metals with the moldability inherent in metallic glasses and crystalline alloys and a process for producing the dust core. The dust <u>core</u> according to the invention is a dust core formed mainly from a powder of an Fe-Si-B amorphous metal, wherein on the surface of each of the particles of the Fe-Si-B amorphous metal, a layer of an alloy yielded by a diffusion reaction between the Fe-Si-B amorphous metal particle and an element M has been formed, the dust core having a relative density of 80% or higher.</p> |
