The present invention addresses the problem of providing preserved food that can be used easily even in harsh environments and a container-cum-dish therefor. The present invention is a container-cum-dish set for a retort food, a retort food set with a container-cum-dish, a retort food with a container-cum-dish, a method for using a retort food set with a container-cum-dish, and a method for providing a retort food that comprises said use method, all of which have the following features (a) - (d): (a) the food is divided and sealed in two kinds of retort pouches and are retort-processed; (b) a non-liquid food in a retort pouch is transferred into a liquid food in a separate gusseted retort pouch; (c) the gusseted retort pouch also serves as a dish and comprises a seal-opening means and a cutting means; and (d) the height of the retort pouch with a gusset (5) is adjusted at the end to a height that is suitable for a dish and the food is eaten using the dish.
