PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract an artifact that occurs in a monochrome X-ray image.SOLUTION: A medical image processor in an embodiment includes a separation part, a reconstruction part, and an extraction part. The separation part separates projection data into respective line integral data of at least two or more reference substances that are previously set. The reconstruction part reconstructs reference substance image data in which the pixel value of each pixel indicates the abundance ratio of a reference substance in the pixel from respective line integral data of the plurality of reference substances. The extraction part extracts an artifact area on the basis of an attenuation coefficient of each pixel calculated from the respective reference substance image data of the plurality of reference substances.
